New-Moon Stud is a family-run sport horse stud with around 14 horses, including 6 breeding mares and a stallion. We breed Shagya-Araber and purebred Arabian horses. The stud is on 34 acres in the NSW Southern Highlands.
As well as horses we have 2 Jersey cows, a custom-built chook house with free-ranging Australorp and Barnevelder hens, 2 dogs, a cat and plenty of wild wombats. Horses live in groups and are rotated around paddocks for pasture management. We also utilise holding yards, manure collection and composting, and dung beetles to maintain horse and pasture health. Our shed is set up with a kitchenette and can be used to hold and cater for workshops.
