Our 17 hectare farm is on the outskirts of Young. We run alpacas, mostly champions. Fleece and award winning fashions can also be viewed. 5 hectares is Native box woodlands where birds can be watched, as well as in the garden. Garry collects historic engines, tractors and farm equipment. We are retired large-scale farmers and graziers and enjoy sharing rural life with overseas and city visitors.
Farm Activities: Guided alpaca farm walk, alpacas in paddock, ribbon room, fleece and fashions - 1 hour $10 p.p. Min 2 persons. Supervised patting alpaca in yard, ONLY in addition to above. Additional $2.50 p.p. Min 2 persons.
Pricing: Mug of tea and chat with farmer on verandah - 1 hour $10 p.p. Min 2 persons; Afternoon tea with farmer and wife in historic homestead breakfast room. 1 hour $15 p.p. Min 3 persons; Guided tour of engine/tractor/car/machinery collection (½ hour-¾hour) $10 p.p. Min 2 persons; Guided bird watching 1 hour $10 p.p. Min 2 persons.
PLEASE NOTE: All tours must be pre-booked as some dates are unavailable. All activities are guided. Adults and children must remain with the farmer. Price is per person. No discounted prices. Payment must be made before tour/s commence. No credit card facilities.
