Hazeldean Farm, Ariah Park, NSW
We are a mixed farming enterprise with beef cattle, sheep and cereal crops. We also stand a stallion at stud.
Ten years ago we diversified our on farm activities by opening a bed and breakfast and provide self-contained accommodation in two renovated train carriages.
My husband is the fifth-generation of his family to farm this property and our youngest son has amassed a collection of family household memorabilia from the late 1800s to the early 1900s which is housed in a Pioneers Cottage. There is also an extensive collection of horse drawn farming equipment, sulkies, wagons and carts.
Farm Activities: Day trippers are given a guided tour of both train carriages, the pioneers cottage and the collection of horse drawn equipment. We have two Clydesdale mares who are broken into harness and visitors may pat them over the fence in the adjacent yard to the pioneer’s cottage. We have a large rambling country garden and provide an old fashioned morning tea using English bone china in the garden for up to 40 visitors. We can provide inside dining for a maximum of eight people during inclement weather.
Pricing: $15 per person for groups of 7 to 40 visitors| $20 per person for groups of 4 to 6 visitors| $25 per person for groups of under 4 people.
